18th Anniversary Season: Giving Tuesday 2022

Mark your calendar! November 29 is Giving Tuesday 2022, when we come together to support the organizations, causes, and communities closest to our hearts.

For us, this year’s Giving Tuesday is in celebration of the 18th year of the 18th Street Singers. Since 2004, our non-profit choir has been making music and building community all thanks to the unwavering support of our audiences and singers. We simply would not exist without generous contributions over the years and without the dedication of our all-volunteer members, officers, and board.

As you think about the organizations to support this year, we hope that you’ll consider making a donation to the 18th Street Singers. No gift is too small to make an impact to our operating costs and our artistic mission. Just $10 helps to underwrite the cost of a student ticket, provided free of charge at every 18SS concert.

WE TURNED 18 THIS YEAR!

Fall 2022

Where did the time go? In 2004, a group of friends found themselves in DC looking for connection and decided to start a choir in order to keep choral music in their lives after school. Fast forward 18 years and and that small group has blossomed into a fifty-voice ensemble of friends and musicians from all walks of life and more than a few corners of the globe. Just as passionate about choral music, the community we’ve built over the years — with the support of our wonderful singers, alumni, and fans — brings worlds together and constantly strives to make the art we love more accessible to a wider audience in Washington, DC.

From concerts backing Hugh Jackman to carols for the Vice President, or Singers’ retreats and even a few “live in concert” hiccups, these 18 years are filled with treasured memories that we’ll be sharing over the coming months. Stay tuned for more!
